Not Doing Well With My Anxiety: Ravings of The Crazy Lady musingsofananxiousgirl.blogspot.com Retrieved: 04/22/16 Dear Moms,  I have suffered from anxiety for years. I was formally diagnosed in 2006, after the death of my third child, Sydney Cheyenne. I often experience feelings I cannot explain, or control; that can sometime alter the way I cope, and live. Not many people understand the true feelings of anxiety. Well, in all honesty- quite a few people know the struggle of anxiety- but often do not share. Today, I am going to break my silence. I am normally a genuinely upbeat person. I am constantly laughing, smiling, and cracking jokes- on the outside. 75-85% of the time however, inside I feel like I am dying. I feel conflicted, I want to DO things like my counterparts: go to the club, out to dinner, even simple things like bowling or dates. But, my mind and body are engaged in a power struggle: If I can keep my body energized enough to get ready, and go-...
Flight Faux Pas! 4 Things NOT To Do When In Flight Dear Moms, Recently, I was given this opportunity to become a blogger for egl and I was thrilled! I was even more so thrilled to see that I was given the Lifesytle/Travel category. So, needless to say I was even more thrilled to bust out some of that carry on luggage and hit the road! Well, the skies as it were. On my last excursion I can only assume it was a flight on it's way to or from an "Obnoxious Convention;" due to the behavior of those on board. I actually managed to take it in stride, with poise and politeness. That vodka didn't hurt either. The passengers of what I have now dubbed, #OBCon ran the gambit of my worst in flight pet peeves. I now feel it is my duty to help prevent you from being "that guy" on your next flight; because if you are on MY flight I cannot necessarily guarantee my politeness! The flight had not even BEGUN before the rudeness ensued. I say this to say: DO NOT rush ...

Am I The Only One That Can't RELAX?!

Dear Moms, Funny Mother's Day Quotes, www.quotesgram.com Retrieved: April 13, 2016 I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off... here and there, hither and yon, toting bales and lifting barges!! LOL okay, maybe not all of that, but I have been "hyper busy!"  You know, on Star Trek/Star Wars (I'm a Star Wars fangirl, but I'm a trekkie too) when they would go into Hyperspace/Warp Speed, and the stars would shoot past the windows all fast and look like lines instead of dots- yeah, that's ME! So, it occurred to me- well, it didn't actually occur to ME per se, my therapist (Yes, I am in therapy AGAIN!! lol) brought it to my attention. He basically said, when he sees me- since he's known me, I always seem very "up" always in motion...then he asked, "Do you ever just relax and sit down?" ~Cue stupid look~ Now I honestly can say that I looked at him, instantly chuckled and politely said, "Ummm, no-...

WalMart . com Review !! Dear Moms, Which Loyalty Card Will Really Pay? www,moneyissues.co.za Retrieved: April 7, 2016 I don't know about you all, but I am IN LOVE with online shopping!! I think since I have had children my tolerance for people and the lines and the shenanigans that happen in those lines has severely declined! I mean, when I was growing up I tried with all I had to get my mom into the mall, a shop, ANYTHING! I loved to shop then and do now- the only difference is that I am NOT here for doing it in person anymore. At one point I thought it was a "mom" thing. The didn't like to shop and once I became a mom I didn't either... then, I remembered I still had my grandma and SHE loves to shop too! (and FYI- she is a MOM too, duh!!) Well, shopping buddy found! Buuuut, she is in her eighties and doesn't feel the call of the shops, as strongly as I do, in my *cough* thirties. So, I decided to give the world of online shopping a try...let...

Are You Kidding?! Dear Moms, I am really not a rant type of girl.... Yet, u want to scream and yell and run up and down my stairs right now hollering like a Banshee! Why, you might ask? Because I am frustrated. I feel like I have been banging my head against a brick wall, reinforced with steel rebar. Basically, I'm not getting anywhere and I feel like my brains are mush! It's this weird kind of energy where half of me us almost manic. It wants to get up, go get it, go do it... (Whatever the hell it is at the time) Then the other half is lying in a hammock whining like, "Nooooo, leave me alone- I want to lie here and listen to the world happening outside!" Meanwhile, my inner, "Resting B*tch" is angrily pacing in my head saying,"Both of you shut the hell up! We have way too much to do to be at odds with ourselves!" Do any of you get this restless/lazy dichotomy in your lives?! It's an odd sensation to experience, one minute you have...

Dear Moms, **Musings from my mind that May help you!** I'm a huge fan of homeownership. Owning a home can actually prove to be cheaper in the long run than renting in many parts of our country. I have been working to purchase a home for about two years now, and I finally feel ready!  However, owning a home is not for everyone. It's often a game of chance. A game in which you spin a wheel and hope for no whammies, ie bankruptcies, leins, floods! Oh yeah, you forgot about that, huh?! Here are MY biggest signs you may not be ready to buy your first house —just yet. You don't want to worry about maintenance, repairs, and other costs. Sacramento Home Repairs 916-472-0507 www.sacramentohandyman.com Retrieved: April 5, 2016 When you rent a home, the rent payment might go up over time, but this is the only "unpredictable" cost you have to worry about. When you own a home, you have to do your own maintenance, or pay somebody else to do it for you. You have...

HEALTHY BREAKIES:  Yummy, Easy Ways to Start Your Day! Dear Moms, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" This is one of the first pieces of advice we received as children that we could give back to others with the same tone it was given to us, right?! But, as an adult- how well are you adhering to this age old adage? I personally can say, not that well. It started with being a college student; class at 8- no time to eat, catch up at lunch. This mindset continued as I began to work an early job, and had kids. Now I only eat breakfast on average 3-4 times a week. Which is not great... Clock face, Calendar, and Diary Page Stock Photo www.123rf.com Retrieved: April 4, 2016 Still, if you’re cutting calories, breakfast does seem to be the easiest meal to cut. The problem with that is, it doesn’t work for weight control. The National Weight Control Registry has tracked 10,000 people since 1994, and shown that those who eat breakfast control their weight...
