Are You Aging by Accident?!

Staying in Shape Goes a Long Way: Pay attention to common missteps that might be causing your skin to age faster. Smoking and excessive alcohol use dehydrate the skin and create crepeing. Also, be sure to take precautions whenever spending time outdoors in the sun, wind or cold. Always use sunscreen and identify moisturizers that will preserve your skin's elasticity and prevent or reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Everything is NOT For Everybody: If you're trying too hard to hide your true age, you're most likely just making it more obvious. Don't be guilty of caking on make-up or wearing cosmetics that are too dark or heavy for your skin. Also try wearing brighter colored clothing! Dreary shades like greys and some blues, or hues of lavenders only make your skin look washed out and really just add years to your appearance.
Are You Manufacturing Wrinkles?! Wrinkles are of course, a very natural part of aging, but you might be giving yourself extra ones! Some of your most common daily activities could be aging you prematurely. Things like squinting to see a computer/phone or tablet screen, drinking through that straw during lunch, and EVEN sleeping with your face against the pillow (are you supposed to sleep levitate?!) can all stretch and furrow your skin, creating unsightly fine lines around your eyes and mouth.
Activities like drinking plenty of water, taking folate and using a hydrating moisturizer daily can all help reduce the signs of aging. So, stay active, informed, and embrace the aging process!
