OMG- We're EXPECTING!!   Dear Moms, I have recently been stricken with "BABY FEVER!" I have been inundated with all of these adorable little smooshy faces on my News Feed on Facebook, my twitter timeline, my Instagram feed, AND my Snapchat! Goodness gracious! So, I began to not only CRAVE another little ball of drool; but wonder HOW and WHEN you all knew that you were pregnant! I personally, experienced NOTHING in the way of symptoms of pregnancy. I just missed a menstrual cycle- took a test and BOOM! Well, with the first one. The second was much more interesting. I actually felt MOVEMENT before I realized I may have been expecting! I mean REALLY? Lol I was under the impression that you didn't ovulate while you are nursing...which by the way is a complete and total LIE! Anywhozit, I was nursing my first born and still actively having unprotected intercourse with my then SO. Well, one evening after a particularly amorous encounter I rolled over onto my stoma...

I love a citrus-y cocktail most of all, add the fact it includes whisky just makes it even better!...

5 Bad Habits  You NEED to Stop NOW That Are Causing Wrinkles !! Dear Moms,  No matter what is going on in your life,(YES, I know that the kids are making you old before your time- and maybe so is your beloved SO) if you are blessed enough to wake up every morning...you are aging. We can all try to embrace the signs of aging in our own ways; joke about our "crow's feet" and "laugh lines"- or dye the hell out of those encroaching grays. However, there may be things that YOU are doing to yourself that are making you edge further into the "Granny Zone" by leaps and bounds! Below I will give you my top five things that you can STOP doing now and begin to slow the look of your aging.  1.) SMOKING- OMG I know we have all heard that smoking is not an attractive habit period. But, did you know that it also causes premature aging? The chemicals in cigarettes destroy the skin's natural elastin (the stuff that is responsible for the bouncy, ...

MOVING!!! Dear Moms, YES, I am back! I am blogging live and in living color from our new house!! YAAAAAAAYY! So, with that being said...can I just address with you all for a minute- THE ISSUES involved in moving??! Lol Omigosh... I sooooo underestimated all that was entailed in our relocation! First of all, I and my family were living in our old place for SEVEN YEARS! That means seven years worth of CRAP...toys, dishes, clothes, blankets, yada, yada, yada. I thought that it was going to be a pretty cut and dry task; pack up a few items in a box, seal the box, label the box. Boy was I ever wrong! First of all, pack a few items into a box? Hellz NO! I had to sort through the items that were actually to BE packed into said box...asking the questions of, "Do we actually use this anymore?" "Does this still fit me, that kid, or this kid?" "Do I REALLY have the wherewithal to haul this additional junk to our final destination?" and the ever so popular, ...

I'm Back! Dear Moms,  Hey Ladies!! Those few of you that DO read my ramblings.... Lol (You guys/gals are the REAL MVPs!!) Any way, I am back to the blog- I have been so consumed with the #BathroomRedo , creating the DIY channel, and adulting (make sure you check out the first two videos on YouTube)...good grief! A padded room and a jacket that makes me hug myself don't sound too bad right about now! (Kidding, kidding, I just need the padded room- I can do cartwheels and jump around until I get sleepy.)  Going crazy is not the HALF of it around here! Back to school is the name of the game these days! Go on, be honest, how many of you were sipping White Zinfandel in a sports bottle, or coffee travel mug as you waited for the bus with them? Lol, do not be ashamed many moms share a "post bus pick up toast" and I am NOT mad at ya! With this change in our households, what is it that YOU feel I should address?  What would you like to see in a j...

Finding My Inner Strength via: www.pintrest.com Retrieved: July 22, 2016 Dear Moms, Have you ever sat and thought about the things that you have been able to achieve? The goals you have met, the things you thought you would NEVER be able to do- but did?! They have recorded instances in which moms obtain almost superhuman strength when their children are in danger- like trapped under a piano, or a car or some junk. I mean, I personally never thought I would be able to survive a HUMAN BEING coming out of my va-jay-jay; but oddly enough I DID IT! TWICE! Lol I also NEVER believed that I would be able to successfully make it through a Cesarean Section...but I did that too- THREE TIMES to be exact! But, that's neither here nor there... I am thinking more along the lines of actual practices that you initially thought could not be done by you and then, lo and behold YOU DID IT?! Isn't it the BEST feeling in the world? Don't you just SWELL with pride? Don't you feel...

DE-Clutter for (and DURING) the Summer! Dear Moms,  So, I may or may not have already conveyed that I have developed OCD in the years I have been a mommy...lol but, it has turned out to be something that's been more favorable in my life than not. I say that to say this: when school lets out, I begin to get into Organization Mode. That means, I remove all the winter clothes and pack and label them to be put away, and I rotate out the summer clothes. I also start purchasing school uniforms, backpacks, etc in JULY- that way, by the time school gets started again, I have missed the rush, and I am already done. We buy the last minute items, and the things the kids WANT- versus what they NEED. In the same vein, I take the summer vacation to get the house, the activities, etc all organized as well. I have the types of children that if they are not given stimulation throughout the day, they will self destruct and go off the rails! I have a very stringent schedule for their down...

Learning Things About HOW to Deal with Your Kids Dear Moms, Do you ever feel like you have been tasked with the job of PARENT- and you aren't equipped?! Or do you have those days where you feel like I just SUCK at this whole mom gig- I could have been a stripper?! (Lol okay, maybe not the whole stripper part- but, hey you've at least thought of another profession you would have much better suited for?) I know I have- and hell, I have lived MONTHS of feeling that way; not just single days! Recently- with the kids being out of the house I have taken the time to do more research into the who, what, and why of myself and my kids. It really began with some weird astrology interest and I went deeper to learning about the intricacies of the zodiac signs... traits, habits, myths vs. truths. Once I had delved into that, I was hungry for more! I wanted to know how my sign (Taurus) related to my children's respective signs and how they clash, and or meld. For the most part my ...

A shandy historically were served in English pubs and traditionally consist of a half beer and a carbonated topper, think- citrus soda, or a ginger ale. In this way, it is an easy cocktail tester if you are not quite the experienced mixologist just yet! It's super simple and can be loads of bubbly fun to test the ratios and flavor combos. One ideal shandy to try if you don't want to do t...

Migraine and Anemia Rantings  Dear Moms, I recently had to face the truth about the seriousness of living with anemia. I have had anemia my entire life and never knew the true depths of how ugly it can get. I have discovered in my research, that living with anemia is wrought with hidden pitfalls that deplete the body's natural iron levels. Seemingly, every other thing one puts in their mouths on a daily basis is a culprit; robbing the body of iron. Soda, cow's milk, tannins in tea and coffee, and omeprazole (active ingredient in Prilosec an OTC heartburn medication) all deplete your iron levels. So, having an already depleted blood iron content (being anemic) and enjoying the ingestion of the abovementioned items... ¡No es bueno! Anemia is linked to restless leg syndrome and also known to be a cause of Anxiety and Depression. It causes insomnia, and even migraines! And all this time my mother just said I was "special" lol I was obviously being driven mad by ...
